The FMOD API can be installed on Linux operating systems and used in Linux games. 4.44.24, which I believe is the latest version. Theres also an old tutorial for Debian, other old one for Ubuntu. Then, there is a Ubuntu Forums thread which redirected me to this page:, and it has some dated instructions. For non debian systems, install the relevant package that will add the 32 bit. If you're using Ubuntu, you'll notice a disk icon appear in the dock. I checked out this YouTube video:, but it's for Windows. voice, SLVoice, antivirus, Vivox, Voice Echo Canyon, Windows, mac, Linux. Then, run the following command to install some necessary packages: sudo apt install build-essential dkms linux-headers- (uname -r) Next, click Devices from the VirtualBox menu and select Insert Guest Additions CD image. Right now I'm having a really hard time finding the instructions for installing the latest version of FMOD (audio content creation tool) on Linux Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (32-bit) so that I can use it in g++ with OpenGL. (If you guys can think of something better, do suggest it, but so far FMOD looks more promising compared to SDL, OpenAL, etc.) A teammate wants me to go with something simple, and he suggested that I use FMOD Ex. I want to do extra credit for my computer graphics assignment - sound effects.
I'm looking for the instructions on how to install FMOD.
